Annapurna Circuit Trek and the region is regarded as one of the best world’s great treks. The trek route crosses two different river valleys and encircles the Annapurna massif. You will pass through a countless of biospheres as you climb upwards from sub-tropical jungle to the high and very dry region. Annapurna Circuit & Thorang la Pass starts with a drive from Besisahar and Jagat village near Pokhara. It is located in the past laps of Annapurna and Manaslu Himalaya. The trek begins within the warm area and then entering the mid-hills alpine country through a tranquil forest of rhododendron, oaks, magnolias, and pine tree lines.
The first day of the trek begins from Jagat to Dharapani. We will cross the bridge at Tal to Manang district. From Dharapani the trek continues in the steadily upward direction to the Thorong La Pass. The route passes through Chame, Pisang, and Manang village. We will take a rest day at Manang village to adjust our body to the increasing temperature.
After taking a rest day, we will continue ascending through Yak Kharka to Thorong High Camp. Thorong High Camp is the main highlight of this trek. We will pass through the Annapurna Conservation Area. The weather will get colder as we reach a higher altitude. You will see Thorong-La festooned with Buddhist prayer flags as you climb above. The tops offer breathtaking views of the landscapes and snow-capped mountains.
Once we’re done with exploring the High Camp, we will move towards Muktinath where there are many sacred temples of Hindus and Buddhists. This is when our return journey starts. From Muktinath, we will descend to Jomson and drive back to Pokhara.
