Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia located mainly in the Himalayas. It is a naturally blessed country with diversity in geography, culture and climate. Among the 14 tallest mountains in the world, 8 of them lies in Nepal including the tallest mountain in the world i.e. Mt. Everest.The snow-capped mountains at the top, green lush hills in the middle and fertile plains at the bottom is a homeland for many flora and fauna. Nepal is a miscellany of cultures, language, traditions and monuments that differ from region to region and ethnicity to ethnicity. It is a secular country. Thus people have a right to follow whichever religion they want. But the major population of nepal are Hindus. Buddhism, Christianity, Islam are also the other religions that people follow. Kathmandu is the capital and the largest city. The official language of Nepal is Nepali.

Nepal is the only country in SAARC that was never colonized by Britain. Nepali people are widely known for their great hospitality, friendly behaviour and their bravery. They believe in the saying “Atithi Devo Bhava” which literally means ‘Guests are Gods’ in Sanskrit. The warm welcome and smiles in their faces makes the visitors feel like they’re not far away from home. Though most of the people live a middle class lifestyle, they share and celebrate everything with each other be it goods, functions, festivals or even difficulties. The feeling of brotherhood and unity is what makes the Nepalese unique. 

Tourism is the largest industry in Nepal and the major source of foreign exchange and revenues. It is a hot spot destination for explorers and adventurers.The unique landscapes and rivers of Nepal is a major attraction for adventurous tourism. People from all around the world visit Nepal for different purpose. Such as for mountaineering, hiking, paragliding, bungee jumping, rafting, bird watching, sightseeing, jungle safaris etc. There are many valleys in Nepal perfect for sightseeing and spending quality time. If you are in Nepal for a short period, you can go for sightseeing in Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Sunrise viewing in Pokhara or Nagarkot, jungle safari in Chitwan etc.
