Diyalo Bangala Parisar is a winter palace used by the Royal Family of Nepal. This palace was built by the late king Mahendra in 1962 AD at Aptari near Narayaghat Bazar as a retreat center. King Mahendra was the ninth Shaha King of the Shaha Dynasty ruled for almost 16 years in Nepal. King Mahendra died in his bed at the Diyalo Bungalow Parisar due to a heart attack in 31 January 1972 AD. Later other king used this Diyalo Bungalow as a refreshment center and it closed after royal System washed in 2007. This historical palace where King Mahendra take a last breath has been developed as a museum supported by Nepal Trust and Bharatpur Metropolitan City.
It is just attached with Narayanghat highway at Aptar in Bharatpur Municipality. It is almost 140 KM from Kathmandu. While you are traveling to Chitwan or traveling through the highway, can stop an hour and explore the beautiful Diyalo Bangala Parisar.
