Ghorepani Poon hill trekking is the most beautiful area in and around North Mid-West Nepal. Poon Hill Trekking starts from one of the most happening and popular tourist spots in the whole Himalaya. Pokhara is located in the laps of Annapurna Himalaya with its pristine Lake Phewa.

This trek around the Annapurna area offers great views of MT. Annapurna itself, Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Manaslu as well, where you will be fascinated with its rich culture, traditions, and customs of the mid-hill people, the Gurung and Pun tribes.

The trek begins within the warm area Nayapul and then entering the mid-hills, alpine country through the tranquil forest of rhododendron, oaks, trees and magnolia trees surrounded by high snow-capped mountains. We will pass through plain area until we reach Birethanti. The path then starts to get uphill. Trail follows Tikhedhunga, banks of Modi river, local shops and lodges, stone staircases and thick forests and hills on the way until you reach Ulleri.

The fourth day of the trek takes you to Ghorepani where you will be spending your overnight. You will pass through Hiuchuli, Annapurna South and Fishtail mountains, forests, stone staircases, small waterfalls and bridges on the way. Ghorepani rewards you with a picturesque background view. 

The main destination of the trek is Poon Hill View Point. You will be able to witness the sunrise from between the Annapurna massif. After spending a while in Poonhill we will return back to Ghorepani, have our breakfast and start our return journey. We will descend through the same path via Ulleri and drive back to Pokhara.
