Chitwan is the fourth largest city in Nepal, located in the southwestern part of the country. It is very famous for ecotourism. Chitwan has a particularly rich flora and fauna, including some of the rare species.
Nepal’s first national park, Chitwan National Park together with the adjacent Parsa National Park support a species diversity much higher than any other on the Indian subcontinent.
The rare species include Bengal tiger, gharial, Rhino, leopards, mugger crocodile, Indian rock python and several species of deer. The protected areas are guarded by a battalion of the Nepal Army and patrolled by anti-poaching units.
During Chitwan tour, You can go for green jungle Safari, bird watching, boating, elephant ride, nature walk and enjoy the Tharu Culture and Programs.
Mingle yourself with the locals, lifestyles, and animals of the city, walk with nature, undertake some extreme adventurous sports or go for a boat ride in the Rapti river. Explore shops for some exquisite and special work by local artisans.
Chitwan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the lowland of the Inner Terai Region. It is the first national park of Nepal and the habitat for 50 species of flora and 700 species of wild fauna.

Disappointed - I am posting this very late but I have just come across my previous communication with the company which reminded me that I had forgotten to review.
I did so... read more much research before our trip, we travel a lot and understand the importance of choosing the right company to make the experience perfect but also to ensure that the company support the local community. Kisan and the company had such good reviews and we're also personally recommended by a friend that we chose them.
Right up until the day before the trip Kisan said that he would be our guide, we looked forward to learning so much from him as such an experienced guide. At the last minute he was unable to take us and we were sent with another guide. The guide we were sent instead was very nice, he was pleasant and helpful but it quickly became clear that he lacked the confidence and experience to bring the trip alive for us. We saw other guides chatting with their clients and pointing out interesting things. Our guide spent most of the time just chatting in Nepali with the porter and playing music on their phones, he often ignored us for hours at a time. We tried to engage him in conversation, he would answer our questions but then go back to chatting with the porter.
We felt that we missed out on learning about Nepali culture and nature. We wanted to hear about the locals who greeted us and find out the history behind the villages we were passing through,we know how a good guide makes a trip. We suspected that he was more used to being a second guide or a porter rather than the main guide. When we got back to Kathmandu this was confirmed by a quick check on TripAdvisor in which our guide was mentioned several times as a secondary guide or porter but never as the main guide. I challenged this with the company, I didn't expect anything and knew it wouldn't change anything but hoped they would perhaps just apologise and learn from my feedback. Messages went back and forth in which I was told he was a qualified guide, I asked several times how much experience he'd had but the question was avoided. This reaction was really disappointing, after a long exchange of messages I got some kind of apology but it was really too late and left a sour taste to be honest.
I'm sure that with one of the more experienced guides we would have had a different experience, as most other customers have, but we can only go on our experience. These types of holidays are once in a lifetime and I'm afraid that we felt that ours was a bit of a missed opportunity to be blown away by the beauty and culture.
