Ama Dablam Expedition Brief Insight

Ama Dablam Expedition is completed in 6,814 meters. The name of this mountain is derived from the Tibetan word Meaning “Mother with a Jewel Box”, a person can observe carefully from its southwestern face just near the neck of the peak a large chunk of ice lies hanging like a small jewel box.

Mt. Amadablam is one of the most magnificent mountains in the Himalayan range of Nepal. This Peak is located in the heart of the Everest region, around the Khumbu region of Solukhumbu district.

The peak is close to the main trail to Everest Base Camp and is admired and respected by thousands of trekkers and climbers every year. Amadablam Expedition offers a superb climbing experience in a magnificent setting, with numerous cultures and scenic diversions in the mountain world.

The impressive beauty of Ama Dablam has made it a highly coveted prize for climbers. Since its first successful climb in 1961 by the Anglo-American New Zealand team, it has been climbed frequently and many times by many different routes.

The peak climbing for Amadablam starts in the Namche Bazar after a scenic flight to Lukla Airport from Kathmandu. From Namche Bazar, we will be heading towards beautiful woodland lined with a forest covered by Rhododendron and pine trees to Thyangboche Monastery.

The awesome spot offers tantalizing scenery of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Tamasarkhu, Kwangde, Kangtenga and the magnificent Amadablam at a very close distance. After resting in Monastery and getting the blessing, our step moves forward to Pangboche. Then the route to Amadablam diverts from the main trail to Everest base camp.

From Pangboche we head towards the highlight of this adventure to Mt. Amadablam base camp at 4,580m high. The base camp offers a large valley with an awesome view of surrounding high peaks including Everest and as far as Mt. Pumori. From the base camp, our foot gets even more excited to complete our Ama Dablam peak climbing.

The climbing to the summit of the Amadablam peak is technically demanding and presents every supreme un-imaginable challenge and natural beauty. Ice, rock, scrambling, breathtaking views, great approaches, and a wonderfully situated base camp are just lit.

SEE: Lobuche Peak Climbing

All climber need to have really good rock and ice climbing skills and be technically competent to join this Amadablam Peak climbing. There will be fixed rope on most of the climbing part but this does not mean you can complete this climbing without any training and experience.

All trekkers should have a good knowledge and practice of the skills of climbing on steep hard rock and steep ice. South West ridge route is considered as the safest route to the summit of Amadablam so, probably we follow this route. During the trekking, we give our 100% effort to make keep you safe.

Ama Dablam Expedition itinerary

Like other peak climbing the itinerary can also be varied in this trekking. Because of bad weather conditions and altitude sickness in some trekkers, we may extend our itinerary. As the main goal is to keep you guys safe followed by peak climbing.

We give our maximum effort to take you to the top and turning back to the Kathmandu city. We have a very reasonable cost for Ama Dablam Peak climbing, unlike other trekking agencies. So, don’t hesitate to do this climbing with us. We look forward to being your travel partner.
