Manaslu region offers another surprising trekking for the adventure lover in the form of Himlung Expedition. The mt. Himlung lies in the north-east side of the Annapurna range with an aspiring height of 7,126m.
This mountain is considered with easy technicalities, because of this less technical climbing challenge it is one of the easy peak climbing in Nepal. This is one of the finest trekking routes in Nepal, this is suitable for those climbers who are looking for wildness trekking experience and enjoying the peaceful time here in Nepal.
The mountain was first climbed by a Japanese team in 1992. We will have to anticipate placing four camps above Base Camp that will be put in place by our strong climbing Sherpa guide team. Talking about the team we have a very experienced team of trekking guide and sherpas with knowledge of what should be done in the mountain region. They are trained for the sudden health problem of the mountain climbers. Camping and rope fixing for the expedition are quite easy with our team.
The beautiful landscape drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara and then Pokhara to Besi Shahar will give you the taste of typical Nepali roads. As they are not as good as in other developed countries this problem will run away if you analyze the beautiful scenery around the way.
The very first official trekking for Himlung peak climbing starts in Koto or Besi Shahar. The beautiful trekking trails offer you the awesome scenic view of the mountain with the forest. Away from the crowded city, there is a whole new world for our nature lover. The fresh air and water in the way will leave our problem back and allows us to enjoy our trip.
Himlung peak climbing area was restricted previously; the Government of Nepal opened the region only in 1992. Expedition for Himlung follows the Round Annapurna route to Koto and from Koto towards Nar-Phu valley.
The trail passes through the high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow gullies, forests, rocks, Gompas, and unique cultural settlements. The Himlung peak climbing also offers the mysterious culture and panoramic mountain views of Nandadevi, Rajramba, Api Himal, Kappa Chuli peak and many more.
There are two different seasons for trekking in Himlung Himal Spring and autumn. There are two itineraries for these two seasons. We will provide the best itinerary for a different reason. If you have a will to stay more time in the mountain region of Nepal.
We can increase the duration of the trip, for this, you have to pay a little more too. To get the average cost detail please throw the message and we will give you a hint for the price detail. The assumed itinerary may vary for different weather condition.
Since this area is remote and untouched by many trekkers. This is the area with wild and extremely beautiful mountain landscape full of erotic people, rapid rivers and pristine forest. Due to the remoteness of the mountain region, you will experience the virgin nature, off the beaten path, mysterious culture and panoramic mountain views.
At the end, we just wanted to tell you that, if you want to explore the remote village in the mountain and wilder trekking experience, then this Himlung peak climbing is the perfect destination for you. We look forward to being your travel partner all the way to Himlung Expedition.
Notes: Costs are prone to change in itinerary. So costs will be recalculated if the trekking days get modified.
Disappointed - I am posting this very late but I have just come across my previous communication with the company which reminded me that I had forgotten to review.
I did so... read more much research before our trip, we travel a lot and understand the importance of choosing the right company to make the experience perfect but also to ensure that the company support the local community. Kisan and the company had such good reviews and we're also personally recommended by a friend that we chose them.
Right up until the day before the trip Kisan said that he would be our guide, we looked forward to learning so much from him as such an experienced guide. At the last minute he was unable to take us and we were sent with another guide. The guide we were sent instead was very nice, he was pleasant and helpful but it quickly became clear that he lacked the confidence and experience to bring the trip alive for us. We saw other guides chatting with their clients and pointing out interesting things. Our guide spent most of the time just chatting in Nepali with the porter and playing music on their phones, he often ignored us for hours at a time. We tried to engage him in conversation, he would answer our questions but then go back to chatting with the porter.
We felt that we missed out on learning about Nepali culture and nature. We wanted to hear about the locals who greeted us and find out the history behind the villages we were passing through,we know how a good guide makes a trip. We suspected that he was more used to being a second guide or a porter rather than the main guide. When we got back to Kathmandu this was confirmed by a quick check on TripAdvisor in which our guide was mentioned several times as a secondary guide or porter but never as the main guide. I challenged this with the company, I didn't expect anything and knew it wouldn't change anything but hoped they would perhaps just apologise and learn from my feedback. Messages went back and forth in which I was told he was a qualified guide, I asked several times how much experience he'd had but the question was avoided. This reaction was really disappointing, after a long exchange of messages I got some kind of apology but it was really too late and left a sour taste to be honest.
I'm sure that with one of the more experienced guides we would have had a different experience, as most other customers have, but we can only go on our experience. These types of holidays are once in a lifetime and I'm afraid that we felt that ours was a bit of a missed opportunity to be blown away by the beauty and culture.

He was ready with his plan A,B, ...etc to make sure that we can continue on with our journey and well taken care off. We are all happy that we made it. I must thank Sumir and his team, Dharma, Suntos and the rest for making our adventure memorable. Hope we meet again in my next adventure in Nepal. Well done guys👍👍👍
