The nearby sanctuary, remade in 1969, takes after the Bhutanese style.

Intersecting the Langtang Khola beneath Kyanjin Gompa, the trail makes a lofty move along the edge on the south side of the valley through the woods of rhododendron and juniper.
Ganja La trail proceeds with the south, after streams and moraines and climbing steeply towards the pass. The perspective towards the north from the go, of Langtang Lirung and the snow crests in Tibet, including Shisha Pangma at 8013m, are remarkable.
