Lobuche Peak climbing will give the opportunity to amateur climbers to trek and climb a wide variety of existing routes as well as new challenging routes. This is situated in the Khumbu Region of Nepal.
When you reach the southern base camp at 5,500 meters, you will see a stunning view of Ama Dablam, Twache, and many more spectacular mountains in the region. The Lobuche Peak is one of the most underrated trekking in Nepal offering much more natural beauty beyond your expectations. This trekking has one of the best scenic views in the whole world.
The peak climbing offers a great panoramic view from the top of the Lobuche view. You can complete three peak climbing at one time 1. Island Peak, 2. Lobuche Peak 3. Pokalde Peak located nearby the Everest base camp trek. Some of the highlights are:
The trekking for Lobuche Peak starts at the Lukla airport. But the journey will be started from Tribhuban Airpot from where you will have a flight to Lukla airport. After and adopting trek to Kala Pathar and Everest base camp you climb beneath the main glaciers descending from Lobuche base camp to have access to the wonderful ridge overlooking the Lobuche and Khumbu glacier. The breathtaking view of the Khumbu region and mountain are just awesome, it makes you say just one word ‘WOW’.
The Lobuche Peak consists of two different summits, east and west with a height of 6119 meters and 6145 meters respectively. There are a sharp gap and a considerable distance between these two summits. The east peak is globally recognized as a trekking peak whereas the west one is recognized as the expedition.
This is an attractive trekking route offering various existing routes and also a probability of a new one. The east peak is well-known than that of the west and can be reached by downward into a marked cut-off and climbing steep snowy slopes to the top from the summit.
As compared to Everest Expedition this is quite easy as there won’t be much rope fixing process. This is one of the most wonderful peak climbing having some technical challenges. So, this climbing is considered as one of the difficult peak climbing in the Khumbu region but also all over Nepal.
There are much difficult on quite steep snow slopes and one should possess some ice skills and use of fixed ropes for climbing along the steep. Because of having rocky ascend with snow, this peak demands the very good experience in snowy peak climbing. There will be camp set up at 4,950m near a lake in a ragged space at the base of the glaciated south-west face. This camp offers a remarkable view of Amadablam and Taboche.
We will gear up at the Everest base camp stop for this climbing. You will feel the mountain life and short climbing training. Our team will also bring some medicine for the sudden sickness of the climber. Altitude sickness is something we plan to avoid during the trip.
The carefully designed itinerary is enough for optimal satisfaction. In the trekking route, we will climb the “Black rock” of Kala Patthar and experience the jaw-dropping Himalayan panorama.

Our group led... read more by our guide Sumir, which I found him such an experience guy with lots of resources. There were few hiccups and he handled it very well. He was ready with his plan A,B, ...etc to make sure that we can continue on with our journey and well taken care off. We are all happy that we made it. Disappointed - I am posting this very late but I have just come across my previous communication with the company which reminded me that I had forgotten to review. I did so... read more much research before our trip, we travel a lot and understand the importance of choosing the right company to make the experience perfect but also to ensure that the company support the local community. Kisan and the company had such good reviews and we're also personally recommended by a friend that we chose them. Right up until the day before the trip Kisan said that he would be our guide, we looked forward to learning so much from him as such an experienced guide. At the last minute he was unable to take us and we were sent with another guide. The guide we were sent instead was very nice, he was pleasant and helpful but it quickly became clear that he lacked the confidence and experience to bring the trip alive for us. We saw other guides chatting with their clients and pointing out interesting things. Our guide spent most of the time just chatting in Nepali with the porter and playing music on their phones, he often ignored us for hours at a time. We tried to engage him in conversation, he would answer our questions but then go back to chatting with the porter. We felt that we missed out on learning about Nepali culture and nature. We wanted to hear about the locals who greeted us and find out the history behind the villages we were passing through,we know how a good guide makes a trip. We suspected that he was more used to being a second guide or a porter rather than the main guide. When we got back to Kathmandu this was confirmed by a quick check on TripAdvisor in which our guide was mentioned several times as a secondary guide or porter but never as the main guide. I challenged this with the company, I didn't expect anything and knew it wouldn't change anything but hoped they would perhaps just apologise and learn from my feedback. Messages went back and forth in which I was told he was a qualified guide, I asked several times how much experience he'd had but the question was avoided. This reaction was really disappointing, after a long exchange of messages I got some kind of apology but it was really too late and left a sour taste to be honest. I'm sure that with one of the more experienced guides we would have had a different experience, as most other customers have, but we can only go on our experience. These types of holidays are once in a lifetime and I'm afraid that we felt that ours was a bit of a missed opportunity to be blown away by the beauty and culture.
