Volunteer Tour in Nepal has been gaining a lot of attention among the youths as well as the international welfare organizations. Volunteer tourism simply means the practice of taking a holiday which combines leisure and sightseeing with the opportunity to work for a charity or other worthwhile cause.
From the above-mentioned definition, we could easily understand that in this type of tourism activities people don’t show involvement for their entertainment but as a concept of helping others.
As we all know about the situation of Nepal after the devastating earthquake. After April 25, the country’s natural variation has been badly affected. But the slogan “We will rise again.” seems to be activated in Nepal’s concepts.
Volunteering in Nepal is a great and holy program that one would like to attain. Helping hands are considered as the hands of God and are greater than any great praying. The focus of this volunteer tour is on helping women and children through special educational programs and community training projects. They are conducted independently and/or in association with harmonious organizations.
Volunteer Tour has various programs that aim towards helping in order to make sustainable differences and improvements. Many tourists visiting Nepal now wish to spend some of their vacations in a more enriching way. They long for helping the local communities or being involved in caring for children in orphanages.
Nepal is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful, culturally rich and welcoming countries in the world. However, Nepal is also one of the most under-developed countries in the world. It is a country with low rates of literacy, high rates of poverty and a persistent gender imbalance.
Not at all but some places are still in the previous condition such as Langtang valley, Barpak, and Laprak of Gorkha district and others too. So, to help to rebuild the nation, one volunteer tour is being held by the co-ordination of Shape Foundation Nepal and Mount Face Nepal.
This tour program has been introduced with the objective of encouraging and inviting as many international volunteers as possible to improve the current situation of Nepal. The volunteers also receive an incredible opportunity to experience the rich culture, natural splendor and daily life of Nepal.
Besides the volunteer works, this tour also includes an opportunity for you to visit the world heritage sites in Kathmandu, Nepal. You can take a tour around Kathmandu Durbar square, Shyambhunath temple, Pashupatinath Hindus temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and Bouddhanath Stupa. You will be exploring through the ethnic communities.
The Volunteer trekking area is about 5-6 hours drive northwest from Kathmandu, Nepal. You can observe and enjoy the delightful lifestyle of different ethnic groups. You can experience homestay service in the village during your volunteer trekking trip.
The local people can share their local experience with you to make them feel at ease. This could also heal their suffering. Therefore, this is a fantastic chance to feel and stay connected with them.

Island Peak climbing - Namaste Amir. Thanks for organizing our climbing of Island Peak 6.189 m. Everything was well organized and if we had any questions they where answered quick and good. Our Sherpa... read more Pemba was really kind and experienced. With his help we climbed the Island Peak for sunrise, which was an incredible experience. Thanks a lot. Also the nepali farewell dinner afterwards was delicious and interesting. Greetings
Disappointed - I am posting this very late but I have just come across my previous communication with the company which reminded me that I had forgotten to review. I did so... read more much research before our trip, we travel a lot and understand the importance of choosing the right company to make the experience perfect but also to ensure that the company support the local community. Kisan and the company had such good reviews and we're also personally recommended by a friend that we chose them. Right up until the day before the trip Kisan said that he would be our guide, we looked forward to learning so much from him as such an experienced guide. At the last minute he was unable to take us and we were sent with another guide. The guide we were sent instead was very nice, he was pleasant and helpful but it quickly became clear that he lacked the confidence and experience to bring the trip alive for us. We saw other guides chatting with their clients and pointing out interesting things. Our guide spent most of the time just chatting in Nepali with the porter and playing music on their phones, he often ignored us for hours at a time. We tried to engage him in conversation, he would answer our questions but then go back to chatting with the porter. We felt that we missed out on learning about Nepali culture and nature. We wanted to hear about the locals who greeted us and find out the history behind the villages we were passing through,we know how a good guide makes a trip. We suspected that he was more used to being a second guide or a porter rather than the main guide. When we got back to Kathmandu this was confirmed by a quick check on TripAdvisor in which our guide was mentioned several times as a secondary guide or porter but never as the main guide. I challenged this with the company, I didn't expect anything and knew it wouldn't change anything but hoped they would perhaps just apologise and learn from my feedback. Messages went back and forth in which I was told he was a qualified guide, I asked several times how much experience he'd had but the question was avoided. This reaction was really disappointing, after a long exchange of messages I got some kind of apology but it was really too late and left a sour taste to be honest. I'm sure that with one of the more experienced guides we would have had a different experience, as most other customers have, but we can only go on our experience. These types of holidays are once in a lifetime and I'm afraid that we felt that ours was a bit of a missed opportunity to be blown away by the beauty and culture.
