Upper Mustang Trek is viewed as the pleasant picturesque spot among different spots of Nepal which can be found in 2 particular locales. They are the southern part and the northern where the dialects, society, and conventions are similar to those of Tibetan individuals. Mustang trekking is prevalently known as concealed valley trekking in Nepal. It still remains untarnished and unspoiled by the present day’s modernization or civilization. The significant fascination of Upper Mustang is the walled city of Lo-Manthang.

The journey to Upper Mustang starts from a morning flight to Jomsom via Pokhara. The beginning of this adventurous trek is from the world’s most profound chasm (Kaligandaki Area) to the most astounding passing 3-less desolate scenes, an extraordinary display of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and a few high crests.

The map below shows the details of the trail from Kagbeni to Lo Manthang via Jomsom. Our map covers all alternative trail to reach Lo Manthang. The trekking will start with a two-three hours trek from Jomsom to Kagbeni. The next day, we will trek to Chaile via Kagbeni early in the morning.  The trail after Kagbeni climbs up, giving us a good view of the village, the valley, and Nilgiri. At first, we will pass through the banks of the river closely and later it leads eastwards to flat dry, desert-like land. The scenery here is amazing.

We will steadily ascend towards Gelling, Charang, Manthang, Namgyal Gompa and Tinghar.

As we move towards our main destination Lo Manthang, we will be trekking on flat terrain. The view, apart from a chorten and a few caves, is unrelieved barrenness. After crossing a pass and waking through two rocks forming a natural gate we have finally arrived at Lo Manthang. You can explore around Namgyal and Tinghar and observe the lifestyle of the local inhabitants.

After reaching Lo Manthang, we will explore around for a while and start our return journey. We will descend from Dhi to Tange, Tetang/Chusang, and reach Jomsom. From Jomsom, we will take a flight to Pokhara. The day will give you an opportunity to explore the beautiful valley of Pokhara and its cultures.
